For Manchester City, Erling Haaland has been a revelation, yet in his most recent game, he failed to attempt a shot for the first time since September 2020.

Despite scoring 31 goals for the defending Premier League winners this season—including four hat tricks—the prolific Norwegian striker was held in check for the whole 90 minutes against Tottenham.

The last time Haaland misfired so miserably was during his tenure at Borussia Dortmund against Duisburg. This was the first time Haaland has done so as a player for City.

Harry Kane’s game-winning goal gave City a 1-0 loss, dropping them five points behind Arsenal in the Premier League standings despite having played one more game than the Gunners.
