Increasing Mind Power


The first activity that I would like to share with you is mind mapping. When you draw a mind map, you are actually tapping into both the logical and creative side of your brain to help you sort out information and display them pictorially. This may seem like a simple activity, but you are actually triggering lots of neurons in your brain, and if you keep doing this regularly, you could end up with a super human brain that is capable of managing your time effectively while understanding concepts faster than most other people can.

The next way to increase mind power is to spend some time meditating and doing yoga. There was a test done at a university, where a group of people were asked to do some meditation along with yoga. After that, they were mixed with another group of people who did not do the yoga and meditation. Both groups of people were given a quiz to do. The results showed that those who did the yoga and meditation gave better answers. They also showed that this group of people had a better sense of awareness and cognitive thinking.

Lastly, you can also increase mind power by trying out some brain teasers or challenging games. These games will force you to think out of the box. Examples of these games include crossword puzzles, chess, the Rubik’s cube, or even strategy games. Strategizing your next move can be rather challenging, so this will definitely strengthen your brain. This is especially true for chess, because you not only have to make the right move that will benefit you, but you will always need to predict your opponent’s next move. Anyway, you can buy these games at your local department store or even search for their online versions on the internet.
